Due to active company growth and ambitious plans, our Tech Department is looking for an experienced Math Developer with strong expertise in the slot games industry. This role sits at the intersection of mathematics, game design, and development and plays a key role in shaping game mechanics, statistical behavior, and overall player experience.

You will be responsible not only for implementing and validating mathematical models but also for making data-driven decisions that directly influence how the game feels, performs, and is perceived by players.

The position involves a high level of responsibility and a significant impact on key game parameters.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Design and balance slot game mathematics (RTP, volatility, payouts);
  • Run simulations and validate mechanics;
  • Prototype gameplay solutions and develop internal tools;
  • Support the integration of mathematical models in production together with teams;
  • Prepare documentation for certification;
  • Monitor industry trends and improve math-related processes.

WHAT YOU KNOW

  • 3+ years of commercial experience as a Node.js / TypeScript developer;
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics (or a related field with a strong mathematical component);
  • Strong knowledge of probability theory and mathematical statistics.

Additional optional requirements:

  1. Understanding of key slot game metrics:
  • RTP;
  • Volatility / variance;
  • Hit Rate;
  • RNG behavior;
  • Payout distribution.
  1. Ability to predict the impact of parameter changes on gameplay and player perception.
  2. Programming and technical skills.
  3. Ability to quickly prototype and simulate game mechanics, including the use of AI tools;
  4. Experience working with simulation frameworks or custom math engines;
  5. Comfortable working with other people’s code: reading, reviewing, and optimizing it.

Game design and product thinking

  • Strong understanding of slot mechanics (reels, lines, ways, clusters, features, bonuses, etc.);
  • Well-developed game design intuition and understanding of the market;
  • Ability to balance mathematical correctness, player engagement, and business goals.

Soft skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple and clear way;
  • Ownership and responsibility for decisions and results;
  • Ability to work autonomously and make balanced decisions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with slot game certification and regulatory requirements;
  • Experience designing new or unconventional slot mechanics;
  • Experience developing internal tools for simulations and analytics;
  • Experience working closely with game designers and producers.
  • Knowledge of the Russian language will be considered a plus.
